I must say I didn't know what to make of this pad at first. It feels very chilly when you first lay on it. But, after a minute or two of discomfort, the warmth from your body transfers into the pad. I just fall asleep and notice in the morning that the pad feels luke warm all over - as if it transfered my body heat evenly through the fibers. No cold spots and no overly hot spots.

Like the pad a lot so far. Looks and feels like a regular pad, however it seems cooler when you first lay down. Definitely seemed to work well when my husband got into bed. I guess it distributed the heat better with two people. I would recommend this to others.

Was cool when first getting into bed, but after my body heat warmed it, it stayed warm! Might as well save your money and buy a reg. mattress pad. This costly one will still get hot in the night.

we've been super impressed with this product. both of us have slept much better and sweat much less. we have the mattress pad, the comforter and the pillow cases.
the best way to describe the effect of the product is to reference the infrared photo that's on the outlast website, that shows "before and after" pictures of two people sleeping. my experience is that the heat does spread out through the product, and as a result I just don't get as hot as I did before.
in terms of ordering, it was quick--the order was shipped very soon after I placed it, and the customer service was great.

I used to get really hot sleeping. Not sure if it was the duvet cover or my mattress. But whatever it was, it is no longer a problem. This pad helps keep my whole bed cool through the night! I will never sleep without one ever again!

I received my Outlast Mattress Pad over the weekend and so far so good! It is noticeably cool to the touch, even through the sheets! Quite a unique feeling actually.
So, one of my biggest concerns was if it was going to fit on my Kings Down Ultimate Pillow top which is 20inch deep. The eleastic sides of the pad easily fit on the mattress and completely covered it, which is something my old pad couldn't do.
My other concern was how it would feel, and I must say, it felt pretty good. It was very soft and looked very similar to a normal pad. So there was no change in comfort.
Overall, I am happy. Even with my fleece blanket and comforter, I was able to stay cool through the night without having to remove blankets. And as I rolled around, I would notice the heat would be absorbed in to the pad then released when I started feeling chilly. Very cool technology actually!!
